Travel Guidebooks to the World's Most Romantic Cities

About Our Books

Princess Guidebooks is home to a series of travel guidebooks aimed primarily at women. Each book deals with a single destination and offers practical advice, historical references, and a guide to the most beautiful sights and extraordinary experiences unique to each city.

Books are published in both print and digital formats. Ebook formats include Mobi (for Kindle) and EPUB (for Nook, iBooks, Kobo, etc) and PDF (iPad, web browsers).

Books are published via a variety of outlets, including  Amazon. From time to time, we may recommend on our blog other books relevant to the subject of a post, and if you click on these links and then purchase an item, we receive a small commission from Amazon. Maybe enough to buy a glass of wine. Here’s the official legalese: “Princess Guide Books is a participant in the Amazon.com.ca, Inc. Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.ca.”

We do not accept outside submissions for publication.

About the author

Trevi Fountain, Rome. October 2013

Belinda Darcey lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Born and raised in Papua New Guinea, she has lived in Australia and the United States and travelled extensively through Europe and South East Asia. She speaks English, French and just enough German to get into trouble. On rare occasions, she’s able to decipher fragments of Latin.

At university, she majored in Women’s Studies, with a focus on Art History and Literature. Having worked in the travel industry for seven years—first as a travel agent planning custom luxury itineraries, then as a wholesale tour operator agent—she understands travel from the inside out. She delivers solid logistical advice to minimize stress and delays, coupled with stories about each sight to make the experience meaningful.

She writes for those who yearn to step outside their daily routine and into another world: to feast their eyes on sumptuous art, walk through ornate palaces and gardens, gaze at gorgeous scenery, indulge in gourmet treats, dreamy moments and of course, squeeze in a little quality shopping for one-of-a-kind souvenirs.
